Sun Tran service and route changes effective Aug. 16
Public transportation providers Sun Tran, Sun Express and Sun Shuttle have implemented new service and route changes, effective Aug. 16. Riders are encouraged to review the changes and plan their trips before traveling.
Sun Tran and Sun Express
Several routes have been updated:
- Route 4 now services Udall Transit Station, replacing service to South Kolb Road.
- Route 8 has merged with Route 108X, extending service to Houghton Road while increasing frequency to every 15 minutes.
- Route 9 has extended to Pima Community College East, replacing service to Udall Transit Station.
- Sun Express Routes 102X and 104X have merged into a single route. Service along Speedway Boulevard is discontinued. Riders traveling to Speedway Boulevard and Campbell Avenue can use Route 103X. With this merge, Sun Express is introducing Route 124X – Northwest-Downtown Express, providing convenient service between Oro Valley, Marana and Downtown Tucson.
- In addition to these routing updates, Routes 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, 15, 16, 19, 34, 37, 61, 62 and 124X have schedule adjustments.

Updated maps and schedules are available at Suntran.com, where riders can view route information, access the latest schedules and maps, and plan their trips before traveling.
Riders can also use the Transit App to track buses in real time, receive service alerts, view estimated arrival times, and plan their trips. The app’s GO feature provides step-by-step audio and visual navigation throughout each journey.
