The University of Arizona Police Department invites faculty and staff to participate in the fall UAPD Community Academy that runs Sept. 11-Nov. 20. This 10-week series is free to participants and will take place on Wednesdays from 5:30-8 p.m. in the ENR2 building, 1042 E. South Campus Drive. Free parking is available in Lot 7103, south of Sixth St/ENR2. Food and drinks will be provided. 

What you will learn

During the weekly 2.5-hour sessions, participants will:

  • Gain a deeper understanding of every facet of UAPD's operations.
  • Cultivate meaningful partnerships and a collaborative approach to safety. 
  • Receive a comprehensive overview of the duties and responsibilities of police personnel and civilian staff.
  • Have the opportunity to share their concerns and ideas regarding public safety.

Note: The academy does not involve hands-on experiences or simulations.
