A team from the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences is looking for children ages two or three who are not saying as many words as expected for their age to take part in a research study.

  • Children can be signed up for the study before they turn two, but must be two or three at the time the study begins. 
  • Those who qualify will receive free language treatment as part of the study, which will take place during the upcoming fall 2026 semester. 
  • Sessions will take place in-person at the Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences building. Parking passes will be provided.

An Institutional Review Board responsible for human subjects research at the University of Arizona reviewed this research project and found it to be acceptable according to applicable state and federal regulations and University policies designed to protect the rights and welfare of participants in research.
