There are two weeks left to submit applications for the Udall Center for Studies in Public Policy's Udall Center Fellows Program. 

If selected as a UC Fellow, you will receive time in the Summer 2026, Fall 2026, or Spring 2027 term to devote to a research project related to, tangential to, or informing some area of public policy relevant to your area of academic expertise. Terms vary by fellowship track. 

This year, the Udall Center and its partners are thrilled to offer fellowships in the following areas:

  • AI and Public Policy
  • Environment and Public Policy (summer supp comp only)
  • Agriculture, Life and Environmental Sciences and Public Policy
  • Social Sciences and Public Policy
  • Biosciences and Public Policy (awarded to a pair of researchers)

Now in its 37th year, the UC Fellows program has supported projects in a diverse array of academic disciplines including sociology, hydrology, law, public health, psychology, mathematics, geography, ecology and more.

Previous Fellows have come from 51 departments across 13 colleges and many have produced books, published academic papers and secured funding as a result of the work done during their fellowship.

The application process is easy and submissions are due on Feb. 16, 2026.
