Preparing for University Commencement on May 15
On Friday, May 15, we will gather at Casino Del Sol Stadium for the university's 2026 Commencement honoring the achievements of our graduating Wildcats.
Throughout the week leading up to Commencement, we will welcome thousands of parents, families and visitors to our Tucson campus for convocations and graduation celebrations while also accommodating students moving out of campus housing.
Friday, May 15, is a regular workday for all faculty and staff. Please plan ahead for your commute, especially on this day.
Impacts to parking locations
If you have a permit for the parking locations listed below, you will receive an email from Parking and Transportation Services with specific instructions for alternate parking on the dates and times shown.
- Lot 6090: Tuesday, May 12, through Saturday, May 16, 5 a.m.-8 p.m.
- Lot 5072, Lot 5067, and James E. Rogers Way: Tuesday, May 12, through Friday, May 15, 5 a.m.-8 p.m.
- Cherry Ave. Garage: Friday, May 15, 5 a.m.-11 p.m.
- Lot 6097 and National Championship Drive: Friday, May 15, 4 p.m.-11 p.m.
Road closures
Starting at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 15, some road closures will go into effect around Casino Del Sol Stadium. Follow posted signage and instructions regarding traffic patterns and parking options.
Alternate parking at the U of A Tech Park at The Bridges
On Friday, May 15, all-day free parking and Cat Tran shuttle service to-and-from main campus at the Bridges Park & Ride lot, located at the intersection of East Imagine Lane and South Kino Parkway.
- The Red/Bridges Cat Tran pick up time begins at 4:58 a.m. at the Bridges Park & Ride lot and continues through 6 p.m. A one-way ride is approximately 20 minutes.
- Road closures will alter the Red route from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. Find routes and stops on this map, and track the routes live on the Cat Tran Tracker.
- This location should not be used for Commencement parking.

- Parking and entering the stadium, including parking maps, shuttle service details, gate entrances and seating map.
- Accessibility including seating, service animals and closed captioning details.
- Venue policies, including clear bag policy, metal detector screening and other safety information.
