Nominations for Commission on the Status of Women Mentoring and Visionary Awards
The Commission on the Status of Women at the University of Arizona welcomes nominations for our 2026 Visionary and Mentoring Awards.
These awards honor university staff and faculty who demonstrate excellence in mentoring and advancing the CSW goals. Nominations will be accepted through Sept. 11. All nominees will be recognized at an awards ceremony on Oct. 8 from 12-1 p.m.
Edith Sayre Auslander Visionary Awards
Since 1999, the Visionary Awards recognize individuals who cultivate diversity and advance the CSW goals relating to campus climate, career and professional development, and equity. Awards are presented in two categories: Emerging Visionary and Established Visionary.

Maria Teresa Velez Outstanding Mentoring Awards
These awards honor individuals at the U of A for their exceptional commitment to mentoring, recognizing those who have significantly contributed to creating high-quality mentoring experiences and fostering a mentoring culture at the university.
Three awards are presented in two categories: Outstanding Mentoring (one faculty and one staff award) and Outstanding Organizational Mentoring (one award).
