It's time to shine a spotlight on the faculty, staff and partnerships driving transformative research at the University of Arizona. Researchers whose work inspires, impacts and advances innovation may be nominated by an individual or group familiar with their contributions.

The Convergence Awards for Excellence in Research and Creative Activity represent one of the university's highest recognitions for interdisciplinary research achievement. Several award categories honor the faculty, staff and external partners whose work exemplifies the university's commitment to inquiry, innovation and societal impact. They include:

  • Excellence in Biomedical Research and Clinical Translation
  • Excellence in Physical and Natural Sciences
  • Excellence in Applied Research and Engineering
  • Excellence in the Humanities and Social Sciences
  • Excellence in Arts
  • Excellence in Research Support
  • Excellence in Sponsored Research and Grant Achievement
  • Distinguished Partner in Research Award
  • Lifetime Achievement Award

Hosted by the Office of Research and Partnerships, the Convergence Awards for Excellence in Research and Creative Activity highlight those who demonstrate exceptional leadership in this mission.
