College of Education Dean Robert Berry Leaving the U of A in 2025
Dean Robert Berry has announced his decision to step down as Dean of the College of Education at the University of Arizona, effective March 31, 2025. He will be taking on the role of Dean of the School of Education at Indiana University Bloomington, a move that will allow him to be closer to his family. In his message to the College of Education, Dean Berry expressed deep gratitude for his time at the University of Arizona, calling his tenure as Dean one of the most rewarding experiences of his career. He reflected on the growth he has experienced as a leader and the strong sense of community within the college.
Over the past two years, Dean Berry has supported international partnerships, established a new center, and launched the AACTE Holmes Scholars Program, which supports graduate students of color. Dean Berry also highlighted the collaborative spirit and dedication of the faculty, staff, and students, which he believes were key to the college's ability to navigate challenges and celebrate successes together.
