Introducing the Supply Chain Services Team
Finance and Budget is pleased to introduce Supply Chain Services, a new unit led by Andrew Brennan, chief procurement officer.
This newly formed team brings together previously independent functions and teams in Finance and Budget: Procurement, Accounts Payable, Contracting, Central Delivery and Surplus.
Under Andrew's leadership, the Supply Chain Services team will serve as the central resource for all aspects of supply chain and procurement management for the university, from purchasing activities and payment processes to supplier relationships and contract negotiations.
In the coming months, this unified team will engage with units across campus to begin a comprehensive transformation of the university's supply chain activities. This initiative will create a more efficient, user-friendly experience for faculty and staff, while supporting the campus community in advancing our strategic imperatives and achieving our financial goals.
As part of these efforts, the Supply Chain Services team will simplify procurement and contracting processes, develop and implement guidance and best practices, and launch new systems and procedures to improve operational efficiency, strengthen accountability and leverage university buying power.
Several strategic projects are underway as part of this transformation. We are collaborating with partners across the university to learn more about current business processes and develop solutions that streamline day-to-day operations and reduce the administrative burden on faculty and staff.
We will keep the university community informed as we make progress through these projects.
If you have any questions or wish to connect with us, please email our team and we would be happy to discuss our work with you.
