New Native American Student Affairs Interim Director

Native American Student Affairs is excited to welcome M. Talia White (Diné) as its interim director. Talia was selected through a thoughtful, community-centered process by a hiring committee that included Native community members, faculty, staff and students. Talia joins the U of A community from the American Indian Institute at Mesa Community College, where she has served as the department lead coordinator and a senior student services specialist. Talia brings over a decade of experience in advancing Native student success. Her leadership approach is grounded in cultural responsibility, relational values and a deep commitment to Native student well-being. She will officially join the campus community on Sept. 22.

We will begin the search for a permanent director in late fall, and input from the campus community will be central to that process.
