Annual notice of nondiscrimination and reporting resources
The University of Arizona is committed to maintaining a learning, living, and working environment free from discrimination. In support of this commitment, the university prohibits discrimination, including harassment and retaliation, on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin (including shared ancestry and ethnic characteristics), age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable law in its educational programs and activities, admissions, employment, and other university-sponsored programs and activities.
Consistent with this commitment, the university provides education and training that promote equal opportunity, prevent discrimination and harassment, and are administered in accordance with applicable federal and Arizona law. The university does not require participation in, or use public monies for, education or training that contravenes our commitment to non-discrimination.
The university encourages anyone who believes they have experienced discrimination, harassment, or retaliation prohibited by university policy to promptly report their concerns to the Office of Institutional Equity (OIE). While reporting is voluntary for many individuals, university policy requires certain employees to report information they receive regarding potential discriminatory conduct to OIE so that the university can respond appropriately, assess potential policy violations, offer supportive resources, and take appropriate steps to maintain a respectful and nondiscriminatory environment.
For additional information about the university's Nondiscrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy, reporting options, available resources, or to submit a report, please visit the Office of Institutional Equity website or contact OIE at equity@arizona.edu or (520) 621-9449.
