In Brief: Campus Store employee discount day, holiday bake sale and meals to-go, The Conversation, LQP hiatus
Faculty and Staff Appreciation Discount Day is coming to the Campus Store
The Campus Store is giving employees another chance to save on their holiday shopping. On Faculty and Staff Appreciation Discount Day on Dec. 13, employees can receive 40% off their most expensive item and 25% off the rest of their purchase. The sale follows Festivus, the Campus Store's annual faculty and staff appreciation sale, which took place Nov. 8.
The discount will be available at the flagship store in the Student Union Memorial Center from 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m., in the A-Store at McKale Memorial Center from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and the Campus Store Medical at 1501 N. Campbell Ave. from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
The discount is also available online on Dec. 13. After placing items in their cart and selecting "check out," shoppers should enter their first and last name, department and CatCard number in the "order Comments" box at checkout. Once the information is verified, the discount will be processed. Shoppers will not see the discount in their cart, but when their order is fulfilled, they will receive a second email confirmation with the discounted prices reflected.
"Faculty and Staff Appreciation Discount Day is our way of saying thank you to the incredible faculty and staff who make such a difference every day," said Peter Neff, executive director of the Campus Store. "We hope this dedicated time allows them to enjoy their 40% and 25% discounts as a token of our gratitude for all that they do."
The discount is available on most items, including the Campus Store's high-end apparel brands, such as lululemon, Nike, Mitchell & Ness and Peter Millar. Exclusions apply to technology products, regalia and course materials.

It is common for people to observe sexual exploitation and not try to intervene or stop it from happening. It's useful to first understand why people do nothing.
