Subject: Student Email Moving to Outlook July 25

Student email and calendars will move from Gmail (CatMail) to the university’s Outlook email system in Microsoft 365 on Friday, July 25. Students will continue to use their (netid)@arizona.edu email addresses; Gmail messages and calendar events will be migrated to Outlook, and they will continue to have access to Google apps and data. 

Please help remind students to login to their Outlook email account at outlook.arizona.edu starting July 25 at 8 a.m. to send and receive email. Students have been notified of this change and will receive additional information before and after the migration to Outlook.
The move to Outlook will bring all students onto the same email and calendar system as faculty and staff for improved collaboration and security.

Additional reminders

  • All students, faculty and staff will continue to have access to Google Workspace apps (Docs, Sheets, etc.) at google.arizona.edu.
  • After July 25, (@catmail).arizona.edu addresses will no longer be active for students and will generate an automatic reply. Please use a student's (netid)@arizona.edu address instead.
  • Alumni and retirees using Gmail (CatMail) are not part of this email project and will move to Outlook later this year.
