National Institutes of Health to Visit UA

Aug. 23, 2000

A National Institutes of Health (NIH) team will make a two-day site visit to the UA campus on Tuesday, Aug. 29 and Wednesday, Aug. 30. These proactive compliance site visits have been made to a number of the UA's peer institutions.

The principal focus will be on the College of Medicine, but the overall culture of compliance on campus is of interest to the NIH team.

On Wednesday, Aug. 30, the team will present a half-day collaborative interactive education outreach training seminar for UA faculty and staff. The NIH and University personnel will give presentations in the DuVal Auditorium at the Health Sciences Center. Registration is at 8 a.m. with the seminar concluding at noon.

Administrators, faculty and staff campus-wide are encouraged to attend to learn about the changing compliance issues of importance to the NIH.
