The Tucson Service Learning Coalition (TSLC), formed several years ago by a group of educators, community volunteer organizers and agency representatives, has formed a new web site @

The coalition works to bridge collaborations among educational institutions, community organizations and individuals that provide services to the community and useful learning experiences for students.

The web site publicizes its activities and facilitates contact between potential student service providers and organizations where they might do service. The site was created through a grant from the University's department of English. Additional support was provided by Lesley Bailey, TSLC's chairwoman, and the Arizona International College. For more information, e-mail Bailey at or call 626.0617.
