CatCard Team Wins Governor's Excellence Award

The CatCard Team, including the office staff and the executive team, has been honored by the State of Arizona Governor's Office for their contributions to the University of Arizona CatCard Project. The project has earned the 1999 Governor's Spirit of Excellence Recognition award.

The governor will recognize the CatCard Team for its success and contributions during a ceremony in Phoenix on Tuesday, Dec. 14. On that day, the CatCard Office will provide limited services to allow employees time to attend the ceremony. The office will resume full service Wednesday, Dec. 15 at 9 a.m.

This team has made it possible for the University to move toward achieving the strategic goals to provide customer support service delivery systems as needs change and improve efficiency and demonstrate accountability for campus resources by using the CatCard to:
•Streamlining service delivery;
•Increase customer convenience;
•Providing administrative cost savings;
•Providing service tracking and accountability for campus resources making a safer and more secure environment by providing unmatched security for campus affiliates.

The CatCard program is a nationwide showcase for chip technology and service/entitlement tracking. The University of Arizona is the only university in the country that uses electronic status.
