The University of Arizona will maintain the same tuition rate for resident undergraduate students in its 2026-27 tuition, fees and housing rates plan.

For the third consecutive year, the University of Arizona will maintain the same tuition rate for resident undergraduate students. The U of A, ranked the No. 1 university in the Southwest and one of the top 25 public universities in the nation by Times Higher Education, released its 2026-27 tuition, fees and housing rates plan today.

The university's plan prioritizes affordability in line with its focus on student success and its land-grant mission. It freezes tuition and mandatory fees for Arizona undergraduates, and includes modest tuition adjustments for nonresident undergraduates, graduate students and certain professional programs to maintain academic excellence and remain competitive with peer institutions.

"Keeping undergraduate tuition and fees frozen for in-state students for a third year straight supports access to a world-class education, in line with the vision of Delivering on Our Promise," President Suresh Garimella said. "Success for every student – our North Star – includes affordability, and it is central to our land-grant mission and our commitment to uplifting people and communities throughout Arizona."

Provost and Chief Academic Officer Patricia Prelock noted that affordability expands in-state access to exceptional academics, unique research and internship opportunities and student resources and programs.

"We are delivering extraordinary value by creating clear pathways to the University of Arizona and supporting students throughout their academic journey," Prelock said. "From the moment they arrive on campus, students have high-impact learning experiences, comprehensive academic support and career preparation designed to strengthen retention, progression and graduation. Our faculty and staff are committed to helping every U of A student thrive and graduate with the readiness to begin their career and contribute meaningfully to our state's future."
