The Office of Presidential Events and University Ceremonies will hold the 22nd Annual Regents Professors, University Distinguished Professors, and University Distinguished Outreach Faculty Induction Ceremony on Monday, January 13 at 6 p.m. in the Fred Fox School of Music, Crowder Hall. This is an opportunity to help honor and learn about the work of some of the University of Arizona’s most accomplished faculty members.

The ceremony will honor:

Regents Professors

  • John Rutherfoord, Ph.D. – Department of Physics
  • Marvin Slepian, M.D. – College of Medicine (Medicine/Cardiology), College of Engineering (BME, MSE, CHEMEE), Eller College of Management (McGuire)
  • Rod Wing, Ph.D. – School of Plant Sciences, Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology, BIO5
  • Lucy Ziurys, Ph.D. – Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry, Department of Astronomy

University Distinguished Professor

  • Ty P.A. Ferré, Ph.D. – Department of Hydrology & Atmospheric Sciences

University Distinguished Outreach Faculty

  • Teshia G. Arambula Solomon, Ph.D. – Department of Family & Community Medicine
