University of Arizona students, faculty and staff can now download and opt in to the Covid Watch exposure notification smartphone app, which allows users who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 to anonymously notify others who may have been exposed.

Early interventions were effective at stamping out coronavirus infections, but subsequent, poorly monitored travel allowed the virus to ignite major outbreaks in Europe and North America, according to a new study.

The University of Arizona and WeWork announced an innovative partnership to expand the University of Arizona's Global Microcampus Network to include over 490 WeWork locations in 80 cities and 37 countries.

"Unfortunately, that kind of decline in the unemployment rate does not signal an improvement in our labor market,” said George Hammond, director of the economic and business research center at the University of Arizona's Eller College of Management. "In fact, it suggests that the state is still really struggling with the economic fallout from the pandemic."
