Two decades later, his prints are in exhibits and collections all over the world, and he's helping usher in the next generation of artists. This story is the first in an LQP series that explores the scholarship of fine art creation and performance. Whiting, professor emeritus of animal science, died in November at the age of 84. "He encouraged us and built our confidence," a former student recalled at his memorial. "If we messed up, he showed us how to fix it and pushed us to try again." Jan. 8, 2018 Learning to Learn: Instructors Test Techniques, Technologies in Collaborative Faculty Room Faculty members preparing to teach a class in one of the UA's 20 collaborative learning spaces can experiment with new classroom technologies, rehearse course materials and meet with colleagues to discuss best teaching practices in the Collaborative Faculty Room. Centrally located in the Science-Engineering Library, the room is a valuable resource for the growing number of instructors who are redesigning their courses to be more collaborative and interactive.
