New Core Building Hours and Keyless Entry Locks for Tucson Campus
The university has established core building hours Monday-Friday (excluding university holidays) for high-traffic academic buildings on the Tucson campus. These buildings have also been updated with a keyless lock system and enhanced building access and security that requires using your CatCard for entry.
What you need to know to access your building:
During Core Business Hours
Most buildings are open 7 a.m.–6:30 p.m.
- Some buildings have designated alternate hours.
- Exterior doors are unlocked for entry and exit.
- Check specific details for your building(s) below.
Outside Core Business Hours
CatCard required for keyless entry.
- Access is limited to assigned buildings only.
- Exterior doors are locked for entry.
- Any door may be used to exit.
Special Activities and Classes
For co-curricular activities or classes scheduled outside core hours, a primary entrance has been designated to be unlocked for access to reserved spaces.
Building access information, including core building hours and primary entrance location, is available on the Building Access and Core Hours webpage.
Employees must return physical exterior-door keys to the University Facilities Management building at 1405 N. Ring Road for any building transitioned to keyless entry.
