Be A Cyber Super Hero – Attend the Cybersecurity Fair
It's true. Cyber villains are everywhere. Phishing emails are multiplying, and passwords are being stolen every day. Only a true superhero can help stop the attack.
On October 15th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the university's Information Security Office along with other campus partners and sponsors are hosting a Cybersecurity Awareness Fair in the student union south ballroom.
October is national Cyber Security Awareness month and the Information Security Office urges students, faculty and staff to educate themselves on the various ways online security affects them.
The "Superheroes Stay Cyber Secure" event will highlight topics that will benefit the entire campus.
- Protecting your passwords and online data.
- Internet safety travel tips.
- How can you spot a phish?
- UA cybersecurity programs and resources.
- How can machine data solve for security.
- And more.
Stop by the South Ballroom of the Student Union, visit with security experts and complete your superhero passport for a chance to win! Looking for an updated selfie with Wilbur? Wilbur is anxious to enhance his online security awareness and will be at the event from 10-11:30 a.m.
