WOSAC's Presents Writers_ Journeys: Real and Imagined
The University of Arizona Women's Studies Advisory Council (WOSAC) presents the Fifth Annual Women Writers Event, "Writers' Journeys: Real and Imagined" Wednesday, Jan. 27, at 7 p.m. at the Doubletree Hotel, 445 South Alvernon Way.
The conference will feature three mystery writers who will share the experiences of their own lives and works. A dessert and coffee reception along with a book signing will follow. The
authors include:
Sharon Kahn, who spent 31 years as a rabbi's wife, and captures that life in her first adult work of fiction, "Fax me a Bagel";
Miriam Grace Monfredo, a historian and former librarian whose most recent novel is "The Stalking Horse," based on historical events on the eve of the American Civil War; and,
Carolina Garcia-Aguilera, who after 10 years in the field as a private detective debuted on the mystery scene in 1996 with her critically acclaimed "Bloody Waters."
