The University of Arizona will host a multicultural community and career expo bringing students together with local, national and international employers and community organizations.

The event will be held at the UA’s Memorial Student Union Grand Ballroom on Thursday, Oct., 11 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. UA faculty, staff, alumni and members of the following organizations will share resources, information and potential job opportunities:

- Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

- Tucson-Arizona Black Chamber of Commerce

- Tucson GLBT Chamber of Commerce

- UA Asian American Faculty Staff and Alumni Association

- UA Black Alumni

- UA American Indian Alumni

- UA Greater Phoenix Hispanic Alumni

- UA Multicultural Centers

The event’s coordinator Patsy Klein said, “This combination of networking event and career fair provides for both the business community and the UA campus to meet, and share information on services, products and opportunities available for everyone. While the focus is minority students, all students are invited and encouraged to attend.”

The event is hosted by the UA Hispanic Alumni in collaboration with UA Career Services and the UA’s Diversity Resource Office. Lujan said that the event has grown and become more inclusive. “We used to have different events for each one of the UA’s multicultural programs but now we bring everyone together. It’s a great sight to see and it’s open to everyone.”
