In this Broadway hit, Neil Simon, the modern American master of comedy, compiles a delightful composite of the best short stories by Russian master playwright Anton Chekhov. The stories are charming, the portraits affectionate and the humor infectious. Sex, power and strategies of seduction intertwine in this deliciously decadent morality tale. Behind the furtive schemes are the cynical Marquise de Meurtuil and the Vicomte de Valmont, who plot their vicious sport against their innocent victims with the same reverence one might give to planning a war. Winner of London's 1986 Olivier Award for Best Play.

Shakespeare's towering tragedy of pride, anger, love and forgiveness. The aging King Lear intends to divide his kingdom peacefully among his three daughters. However, won over by their false flattery, he splits his kingdom between the two ambitious daughters and disinherits the one who truly loves him. When their venomously cold hearts turn on him, Lear embarks on a spiraling descent into madness and self destruction. This production will feature professional actor Harold Dixon, UA acting professor and outgoing artistic director, in the demanding title role.
