Planning Professor Honored
Sandra Rosenbloom, a professor of planning in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences at The University of Arizona, has been appointed by the National Research Council (NRC) to a three-year term on the Executive Committee of the Transportation Research Board.
Rosenbloom is a nationally noted authority on transportation planning and the impact of trends in society on transportation and community development. She is currently working with the governments of New Zealand and the United Kingdom, and the Australian State of Victoria to develop transportation policies that respond to major societal changes.
Organized in 1920, the Transportation Research Board is one of six major divisions within the National Research Council, part of the National Academies.
