Mosser New ADA Physical Access Coordinator

John Mosser is the new ADA physical access coordinator at the Center for Disability Related Resources (CeDRR).

George McFerron was in this position prior to his retirement in January and since that time has been working with Mosser and CeDRR on a consultant basis.

Mosser received his masters in rehabilitation counseling at the University of Arizona in 1982. He has worked as a disability specialist for students with mobility impairments at CeDRR since August 1995 and as the lead disability specialist since 1996 ensuring provision of services
and access to programs/services. Upon McFerron's retirement in January, Mosser assumed many of the physical access coordinator responsibilities.

The ADA Physical Access Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the University's disability access-related facilities/grounds improvement efforts by providing technical assistance during project concept development and project construction; reviewing design and construction
documents; conducting inspections of construction; reviewing existing physical access issues; and ensuring compliance with ADAAG. This position will work collaboratively with multiple University units to assure a coordinated effort in achieving compliance with ADAAG, as well as infusing principles of universal design to the greatest extent possible.
