iTunes U at UA Opens Aug. 20

The University of Arizona invites the community to the opening of UA on iTunes U.

The result of an agreement between the UA and Apple Inc., UA on iTunes U provides a centralized access point in the iTunes Store to podcasts by UA faculty and instructors, departments and programs.

Timed to coincide with the beginning of fall semester on Aug. 20, UA on iTunes U offers courses, faculty lectures, recorded events and other programming to the public.

"UA on iTunes U is going to draw a great deal of attention to podcasting as an instructional and marketing resources," said Stuart Glogoff, UA Learning Technologies Center senior consultant. "UA on iTunes U opens with many of the excellent podcasts created over the past year and expect being in iTunes U will create a rush of interest on campus."

UA on iTunes U podcasts include the College of Science's prestigious "Evolution: Our World Ourselves" and "Global Climate Change" lecture series, the College of Fine Arts outstanding "Art and Identity" series, departmental podcasts from the School of Information Resources and Library Science, and the Office of Student Financial Aid's OFSA On the Air.
