Members of the public will learn how to keep heart disease and stroke at bay - as well as get a glimpse into ground-breaking research - during the University of Arizona Sarver Heart Center's annual Healthy Heart Conference, Saturday, Feb. 3, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. at University Medical Center.

Doctors and scientists from the Sarver Heart Center, a center of excellence at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center, will talk about their work, take part in panels, hold discussions and provide participants with tips on how to take care of their hearts and their health. A healthful lunch also will be served.

The UA Sarver Heart Center brings together more than 100 physicians and scientists dedicated to the prevention of heart disease and stroke. The world-renowned team conducts more than 90 percent of cardiovascular research in Arizona.
