Sept. 24, 2019 Media Advisory: UA to Host Passport Day

TUCSON, Ariz. — In support of Gov. Doug Ducey's "Don't Get Grounded" campaign to ensure that all Arizonans obtain a federally valid ID by the October 2020 deadline, UA Passports will host a special Passport Day application event Saturday, Sept. 28, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Applicants can either bring a recent color photo (2-by-2 inches) or have their picture taken on site for $10. First-time applicants must provide proof of U.S. citizenship, and all applicants (or parents of minor applicants) must have acceptable photo identification. You can find more information about required documentation and fees on the UA Passports website. Beginning Oct. 1, 2020, domestic travelers will have to present a Real ID to board a flight. State driver's licenses without a gold star will no longer be accepted, but a passport will fulfill the federal identification requirements after the deadline. ### |
