TUCSON, Ariz. — Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs will speak at the University of Arizona Water Resources Research Center annual conference, titled "Shared Borders, Shared Waters: Working Together in Times of Scarcity." 

The conference takes place May 20 and 21 at the Student Union Memorial Center. Hobbs will speak at the conference's luncheon, starting at 12:45 p.m. on May 21 in the union's Grand Ballroom. 

The governor will give brief remarks followed by a 45-minute Q&A – moderated by Water Resources Research Center Director Sharon Megdal – about collaborations to address water challenges in the region. 

Prior to the luncheon discussion, there will also be tribal leader keynotes by Verlon M. Jose, chairman of the Tohono O'odham Nation, and Stephen Roe Lewis, governor of the Gila River Indian Community. The full conference agenda is available on the center's website.
