Once again, university employees make a strong showing on 40 Under 40 list
Eight members of the university community are on this year's 40 Under 40 list, which recognizes Tucson professionals under the age of 40 for character, community contributions and leadership.
The list is presented by the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Arizona Daily Star and the Snell & Wilmer law firm.
The employees on this year's list are:
- Daniella "Dani" Mendoza DellaGiustina, Assistant Professor, Department of Planetary Sciences
- Ruben Fierros, Director of Admissions, James E. Rogers College of Law
- Rina Fox, Assistant Professor, College of Nursing
- Alaina Krone, Director of Clinical Operations, Arizona Cancer Center Clinical Trials Office
- Nathan Lothrop, Assistant Research Professor, Department of Community, Environment and Policy, Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health
- Aaron Davis Martinez, Associate Director, Blue Chip Leadership Experience, Student Engagement and Career Development
- Karina Salazar, Assistant Professor, Center for the Study of Higher Education
Also being honored is Carlos Garcia Ramirez, a graduate student in special education.
This year's honorees, which Tucson Hispanic Chamber CEO Rob Elias says "represent the best of Tucson's future," will be recognized at an awards breakfast on Dec. 10 at the JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort and Spa.
The university had strong showings on the 2023 list and 2022 list as well.
