After eight years of planning, design and construction, a small satellite built entirely by U of A students finally blasted into orbit on July 3 at 9:04 p.m. Tucson time, carried on a Firefly rocket into the evening sky above Vandenberg, California. Equipped with an inflatable, beachball-like antenna, CatSat will collect data about space weather.
