Jeter Named to Pac-12 All-Academic Team
University of Arizona redshirt junior center Chase Jeter has been named to the Pac-12 All-Academic First-Team. The Pac-12 Conference announced the 2018-2019 men's basketball All-Academic teams March 11.
Jeter graduated from the UA in December with a Bachelor of General Studies in social behavior and human understanding. He is currently a graduate student at the UA, where the Las Vegas native carries a 3.54 grade point average.
To be eligible for selection to the All-Academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor. Jeter is Arizona's first All-Academic honoree since Kaleb Tarczewski earned honorable mention honors in 2013-2014.
On the court, Jeter has played in 29 UA games this year with 26 starts. He's averaging 11.1 points per game and leads the team with 6.6 rebounds a contest. Jeter is fifth in the conference with his .589 field goal percentage.
A transfer from Duke University, Jeter was a two-time Academic All-ACC selection for the Blue Devils in 2015-2016 and 2016-2017.
