8 University employees named to '40 Under 40' list
The honorees will be recognized at the 40 Under 40 Awards Breakfast in December.
The University is again well represented on the annual "40 Under 40" list, which recognizes Tucson professionals under the age of 40 for leadership, character and contributions to the community.
Eight University employees were included on the 2023 list, which is presented by the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Arizona Daily Star and the Snell & Wilmer law firm.
"I would like to sincerely congratulate the University of Arizona's eight 2023 '40 Under 40' recipients," said University president Robert C. Robbins. "The Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce's award is an incredible recognition for the leaders in our community who have an outstanding impact. I am always proud to see members of our University community being recognized in this way. It is a true testament to the way our University faculty and staff are going above and beyond to serve the people of our region."
The employees on this year's list are:

- Gisela Cardenas, Outreach and Training Coordinator, Project Outreach FAMILIA, College of Education
- Casey Carrillo, Director of Strategic Partnerships, University of Arizona Center for Innovation
- Bernadette Cornelison, Assistant Clinical Professor, Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science, R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy
- Emilia Eldridge, Human Resources and Organizational Development Manager, Parking & Transportation Services
- Savannah McDonald, Adjunct Lecturer, School of Architecture, College of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture
- Erin Paradis, Lecturer, Department of Management and Organizations, Eller College of Management
- Christopher Pings, Senior Treasury Accounting Manager, Office of Financial Services
The honorees will be recognized at the 40 Under 40 Awards Breakfast on Dec. 8 at the JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort and Spa.
