Baby Speech Studied at UA: Gauging a Babble Benchmark

Researchers at UA's department of speech, language and hearing sciences are studying babies to find a time range for when a baby starts using the valve made of skin and muscle at the back of the throat. That could someday help speech-language pathologists determine whether a baby's speech is developing normally.
