WISE Set to Search for Universe's Hidden 'Dark' Objects
A newly launched, unmanned orbiting infrared observatory called WISE will turn up celestial objects that astronomers plan to study with future missions, including the James Webb Space Telescope, said UA astronomer Marcia Rieke. Rieke is principal investigator for an infrared camera to be launched on JWST in 2014.
