Tucson Guitar Society: Marco Tamayo in Concert

Marco Tamayo, a Cuban guitarist with Austrian citizenship, started playing guitar at the early age of three and was hailed as a child prodigy from the age of six. His completed his first international tour of Europe when he was ten, and his international reputation in all fields of classical guitar has continued to grow. Now a professor of classical guitar at the Universität der Künste Berlin, Tamayo is a winner of major international competitions and maintains an active performance career as a soloist, a regular member of chamber music ensembles and a frequent performer of concertos for solo guitar and orchestra.
