The Research-Based Approaches for Multicultural Practice (RAMP) Conference is a student-led conference hosted by the Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences at the University of Arizona. Presentations are designed by experts in the field of speech-language pathology who specialize in working with multilingual and multicultural individuals. Conference attendees will learn how to navigate language barriers in clinical settings, receive actionable advice for ethical practice, and share valuable resources. Presenters will lead interactive sessions addressing common myths about bilingualism and providing research-backed strategies for culturally competent care. Attendees will also have opportunities to network with professionals, engage in discussions, and collaborate on solutions to challenges in serving diverse populations.
