Flandrau Planetarium Solar Eclipse Event

The partial annular solar eclipse is coming to Tucson on the morning of Oct. 14, 2023! Locally, we will see about 83% of the sun covered by the moon.

Solar viewing glasses will be on sale at Flandrau soon, and solar telescopes will be available for free on the day of the eclipse.

You can safely view the eclipse without solar glasses via a livestream in our planetarium! Escape Earth when you take a seat in the Eos Planetarium Theater for a full-dome show or star talk.

Gather your friends and hang out on the University of Arizona Mall for the eclipse. Look out for solar telescopes nearby and feel free to take a break inside Flandrau with reduced science exhibit admission of only $5.00.
