Join the Center for Latin American Studies for Cinema Tucsón's film screening of "Latido (Heartbeat)."

Leonor, 45, has tried everything to get pregnant, but her body does not seem to respond. At an audition she meets Emilia, a 16 year-old teenager with an undeniable talent for ballet dancing, but her career will be cut short the day she finds out she is pregnant. Leonor and Emilia make a deal and share the pregnancy process. What seems like just a transaction to get what they want becomes another way of looking at motherhood, and they will realize that what they are truly gaining is the relationship that will be built between them.

The Center for Latin American Studies at the University of Arizona is a proud sponsor of Cinema Tucsón. Funding is provided through the U.S. Department of Education Title VI National Resource Centers program.
