Look Inside a UArizona Chemistry Lab as it Prepares for Students' Return

Teaching labs will be among the first University of Arizona classes to meet in person when the fall semester begins on Aug. 24. But they'll look a little different than usual.

Hamish Christie, an assistant professor of practice in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, and Sara Gallagher, a lab coordinator in the same department, offer a look inside a UArizona chemistry teaching lab as it prepares to welcome students back to campus.

In the lab, face coverings are required, capacity has been reduced to allow for physical distancing, and other logistical changes have been made in line with CDC guidelines.
