Updated and Expanded Policy for Technology Allowances and University-owned Cell Phones

Effective July 1, 2026, the university will update the technology allowances policy to establish consistent eligibility standards for employees in alignment with state laws and regulations.

Key changes in the revised 9.17 Technology Allowances and University-owned Cell Phones policy include:

• The university will provide technology allowances only to employees who work in states or jurisdictions where such payments are required by law or regulation.
• University-owned cell phones will be provided to employees only in limited circumstances outlined in the revised policy.

The revised policy supports ongoing efforts to implement consistent practices and improve operational efficiency across the university.
