UArizona Opening 7,000 Vaccination Appointments Tomorrow, Same-Day Appointments Available Based on Capacity

TUCSON, Ariz. – The University of Arizona tomorrow will open 7,000 first-dose COVID-19 vaccination appointments for the following week, and more same-day appointments will be available every day based on capacity.

Those who are interested in getting vaccinated should check availability daily on the Arizona Department of Health Services website.

People age 16 and older are eligible for vaccination at state COVID-19 vaccination sites, including the one at UArizona. People can register and schedule appointments by visiting Those who need assistance can email or call 602-542-1000 or 844-542-8201 for help in English or Spanish.

Appointment availability will be updated online throughout the day, based on operational capacity. Those who can't find an open appointment right away should continue to check frequently.

The UArizona vaccination site, which offers both drive-thru and sit-down clinics, operates from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week. To date, more than 163,000 doses have been administered at the site. Appointments are required for vaccination. No walk-ins will be accepted but students can come to the Mall to register for an appointment (see more information below).

Students Encouraged to Register

University of Arizona students who have not received a vaccination are encouraged to get a same-day vaccination appointment by tomorrow in order to complete the regimen before the semester ends. There are several ways to register:

  • Visit the student registration tent directly behind the volunteer/hospitality tent on Cherry Avenue for a same-day appointment. The tent is staffed from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Visit the CAT Ambassador Team tent, which is on the Mall in front of the Student Union. Call the hotline number below for other locations.
