TUCSON, Ariz. — University of Arizona President Dr. Robert C. Robbinsand 17th U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Richard Carmona will provide an update on the university's status and will take journalists' questions over Zoom. They will be joined by Dr. Cecilia Rosales, associate dean and professor at the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health, who will discuss vaccination outreach efforts in rural communities.

Media who wish to ask questions via Zoom must RSVP with name, outlet and email address to Alexis Blue, ablue@arizona.edu, by 9 a.m. (MST) on May 3 to receive a Zoom invitation.

The event also will be livestreamed on the University of Arizona YouTube page, where all of the university's weekly updates are posted.

The May 3 briefing will be the last one of the spring semester. The university will pause its weekly briefings during the summer, holding them only as needed. Regular briefings are expected to resume as the fall semester nears.
