Flandrau is open through the winter break except for Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, with planetarium shows, family-friendly science exhibits and the dazzling specimens of the UA Mineral Museum. In addition to regular planetarium shows, special holiday shows include the classic “Season of Light” about the winter solstice and the traditions of the season, and “Holiday Magic,” a laser music show full of Christmas songs. The Hall of Champions display on the McKale mezzanine features 18 UA intercollegiate sports. The displays are centered on outstanding student-athletes, performances, events and traditions from more than 100 years of UA athletics. Check the website for hours.
