In recognition of their exceptional achievements in teaching, research and scholarship, three University of Arizona faculty members were confirmed as Regents Professors by the Arizona Board of Regents.

Janko Nikolich, Jiang Wu and Dennis Zaritsky have achieved the highest faculty rank at the university, recognizing their exceptional achievements in research and higher education.

The honorees were nominated by their colleges and approved by the Alumni Advisory Council, a volunteer board of 19 members who advise on alumni engagement and outreach efforts.

Organizers expect up to 1,500 people to attend the Nov. 1 event at Centennial Hall. University speakers will share their expertise on climate change, space science, dance, film and more.

The center will bring together students and faculty from across campus to unravel the enigma of life's beginnings and our place in the cosmos.
