The honorees were nominated by their colleges and approved by the Alumni Advisory Council, a volunteer board of 19 members who advise on alumni engagement and outreach efforts.

University leaders were in the Phoenix area this week for Fuel Wonder Phoenix, a showcase of U of A excellence, and for the Arizona Board of Regents Meeting at Arizona State University.

Arizona Online ranks No. 12 among online bachelor's degree programs and ranks No. 5 on the Best Online Bachelor's Programs for Veterans list.

In the Best National Universities ranking, the U of A tied for No. 109 overall and tied for No. 52 among public universities – a six-spot increase for both. The university ranks No. 12 among colleges and universities designated as Hispanic-Serving Institutions and No. 23 among state flagship universities.

NeuroID, a global leader in fraud detection, was co-founded by Eller College professor Joe Valacich in 2015 and was named Tech Launch Arizona Startup of the Year in 2020.

Current and former Wildcat student-athletes and coaches will compete in wheelchair basketball, wheelchair rugby, sitting volleyball, wheelchair tennis, and track and field, representing three different countries – the United States, Australia and Canada.

The Defense Civilian Training Corps program prepares students for civilian careers in the Department of Defense. Students will share their stories at the DCTC Scholar Showcase.

U of A junior Nicolette Gomez hopes to foster a community of Yaqui entrepreneurs through the new Yaqui-Tech Innovation Lab.

Tribal and university leaders discussed tribal microcampuses, cybersecurity, scholarships and other topics. They ended the day with stargazing at the Mt. Lemmon SkyCenter.

UArizona students are invited to showcase their creativity and grow their businesses on Student-Made Arizona, launching in the fall with support from Arizona FORGE.
