Rebecca Tsosie, Regents Professor and Morris K. Udall Professor of Law at the James E. Rogers College of Law, was selected as the University of Arizona's 2026-2027 Faculty of the Year Award honoree by the Big 12 Conference.
The award honors one faculty member from each of the Big 12 Conference's 16 universities for excellence in innovation and research.
Tsosie was recognized for her contributions in the fields of Federal Indian Law, legal education and advocacy, as well as her support and mentorship to Native law students.
The Big 12 Conference's Faculty of the Year Award program showcases the breadth of research and educational opportunities available to students at Big 12 campuses.
Keith Swisher receives American Inns of Court Warren E. Burger Prize
Keith Swisher
Keith Swisher, faculty director of the BA in Law and Master of Legal Studies programs, is the recipient of this year's American Inns of Court Warren E. Burger Prize.
The Warren E. Burger Prize recognizes outstanding writing addressing aspects of professionalism, ethics, civility and excellence within the legal profession.
Swisher is being recognized for his essay examining the moral gaps in artificial intelligence platforms.
The prize will be presented at the American Inns of Court's Celebration of Excellence at the U.S. Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. in October.
The American Inns of Court is an association of lawyers, judges and other legal professionals that promotes professionalism in the practice of law.
