Arizona's First Poet Laureate Visits UA Campus

Alberto Álvaro Ríos, who graduated with three degrees from the University of Arizona, including a Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing in 1975, was appointed Arizona's first poet laureate in August. The University of Arizona Poetry Center recently invited the UA alumnus to read from his work and talk with the public about the importance of poetry.
